Are the Muslims a hysterical community, can be very easily enraged and shoved into extremism? Perhaps, but leaving alone how much aversion and hatred was injected in the veins of the Christians while their top religious elite was campaigning and inciting their political leadership of that time for crusades, every moment of about last two centuries of their history proves to be greatly shocking and provocative for Muslims. The western imperialists rose like a storm and overpowered the Muslim countries. The Muslims were not only deprived of their right of a free and honorable life but along with being politically subdued them and economically pillaged, their culture and religious sanctities were also subject to the severe attacks of the armies of missionaries working under the umbrellas of the colonialists. The Quran and The Last Messenger, Muhammad, SAW, both the core and central points of the reverence for the believers, were particular targets of their malicious ventings.
Had it not been a provocative thing?
Go through the history of the Christian Missionaries and their activities, you will find wickedness, falsehood and sacrilege. Both the deceitful ruses of inducement and temptation and also of harassing and frightening were tried upon the Muslims to make them convert to the Christianity. India, Java, in present Indonesia, and almost whole of the central and South Africa had been a centre for Missionary activities during those regions were under the siege of the colonists. Christian missionaries under the patronage of Portugal did a big to win East Timor as a Christian land. It was first declared separated and an independent state in 1975, but next year Indonesia occupied it to be its part. It is not but a fruit of Missionary efforts under the colonial patronage. Palestine, enslaved by Israel, Kashmir, subjugated by India, have been longing for implementation of the UNO resolutions for their freedom for more than last six decades but East Timor swiftly gained freedom from Indonesia in May, 2002. And very recently south part of Sudan, rich with natural resources, also has been disunited from Sudan to make it a sovereign Christian state.

Not long ago but only a few years back Hamas won the election in Palestinian Authority and got legitimacy to rule. Entire, western world under the pressure of America and influence of Israel refused to accept the right of Hamas to have its government of the Palestinian Authority. Mahmud Abbas, a puppet and corrupt head of PLO, dissolved the Hamas government. Hamas was forced to be confined to Gaza, keeping its hold and having its administration there. Since then Gaza is blockaded and has been the biggest jail of about 360 square kilometers for the Palestinian children, women and elders blockaded and under the siege of the Israeli forces, letting not the things of even the very basic needs to go to them. Israel’s barbaric assault on this trip resulting in a heavy devastation, damage of infrastructure and a big loss of lives is not an old story but a tragedy of only yesterday.

How much the American wars against Iraq and Afghanistan have proved ruinous with heavy losses of lives and economical devastation not only for both of these countries but as so-called ‘the first line ally in the war on terror’ Pakistan also is suffering unimaginable losses so far. Its borders are now unsafe and its internal peace is constantly at stake. We are actually in the flames of the fire kindled by America. Suicide attacks and bomb blasts in our cities and towns are not but the result of our being an American ally. Drone attacks in the tribal areas of Pakistan, an immensely rabble-rousing practice almost on daily basis, killing dozens of innocent people for last several years.

Raymond Davis was an American CIA agent, carrying on his ugly espionage activities in Pakistan, working against the integrity, stability and interests of the country. While on some dirty activity within Pakistan he killed two young men in a busy city area of Lahore, the second largest city of Pakistan, using unlicensed deadly weapon. A vehicle of the American consulate office rushed to the scene crushing a young man while trying to save their man from the rage of the people there and going to the police custody. The driver and the helpers made away with the vehicle and in spite of demands made by the provincial government no hint of them was given. A big crime committed by a dangerous activist of the main American spy agency in a sovereign country which is an ally in the war on terror at the cost of its own vital interests but the American administration first forced to get this man free. When case went to the court and was near to get the sheet of the charges from the court, a secret deal was hatched through the slavish rulers in the center and the spy agent, who committed the crimes against the state, was mysteriously freed and flown out of the country.

And now the controversial American pastor, Terry Jones, notoriously disgusted with Islam, Quran and the last Messenger of Allah, did the worst. He desecrated a copy of the Quran at his small church in Florida, by putting this most revered Holy Book of the Muslims on trial, declaring it guilty and condemning it for execution, he put it on fire. Expression of ideas, thoughts or feelings is defined to be through words, art, signs by parts of body or in writing. But if burning a sacred book is ‘expression’ allowed in the name of freedom then a murder’s act of taking an innocent life will also be counted to be ‘expression’ and will have the freedom out of any accountability.
What more provocative thing can be there? Even then the Muslims are blamed to be sentimental.
