Every ''SPRING" is Conditional on People's Rise

Provision of basic needs, a peaceful environment to live with protection of life, honour and property is the right of every man in all the civilized societies. Wealth is not thought to be abominable. Earning through lawful means and rising high from rags to the riches is not at all an objectionable and interdicted thing. Prohibition of prodigality indicates that wealth has great worth for men in the eyes of Allah, the All- Mighty, All-Wise.

“And give not unto the foolish your property which Allah has made support for you…” (An-Nisa: 5)

The Messenger of Allahm, be peace and blessings upon him, is reported to have said: “There is no harm for a God-fearing and pious man in being rich and the health is good for the one who is righteous and happiness and felicity with comforts of life.”(Ahmed, Ibn Majah and Hakim)

What is warned off in the verse of the Quran referred above is that when accumulation of wealth illegally becomes the culture of a society, there climbs a corrupt neo-rich class with its insolence in its luxurious life style and wrongdoings, causing dissoluteness and immoral ways of living.

Common people follow the manners of the wealthy class and pandemic of evils become rife, leading entire society to its destruction. Thus spread of evils and mischiefs in the society makes the ship sunk deep in wrecking.

Wealthy class remains not contended with only its piles of wealth. To protect the huge fortunes, this class either attempts to directly hold the reins of the power or intrigues with the ruling elite against the interests of the common people.

The Arab countries, which have very recently started experiencing Arab Spring, had suffered the tyranny and heavy-handedness of the despotic rulers for decades. Some deposed rulers were the evil symbols of power hunger and greed of wealth. Following the trait of Qarun, who was from Bani Israel but joined hands with Firaun to tyrannize his own community, they exposed themselves to be perfidious and deceitful to their people.

Governing the people in this ugly way is not special to only dictatorship. The faces masked in democracy in some of the Muslim countries are not too much different from authoritative rule. Making nepotism and undue favours culture of their governments they also speedily expand the stinking ponds of corruption.

Cries of the wronged people are silenced with the help of their cronies and some conscienceless selfish groups. These villainous regimes, fearless of Allah’s grip, very foxily keep the people subject to the deprivations while these rulers and their retinues heap up their fortunes. Most of their plundered money is taken out to keep in foreign banks with secret accounts.

The people are subdued only when their spirits are dampened and their political wisdom is rusted. Tunisians, Egyptians and Libyans have got rid of ruthless despotism only after their feeling aroused that their freedom, honour, basic human rights and their needs had been encroached on.

It is must for the people to be cautious and should take care of not letting the iniquitous politicians and military dictators hold the reign of the power and keep the keys of the treasures in their hands. Every ‘SPRING’ depends on the awakening of the people.

In case the people become used to endurance of cruelty and exploitation of the sinful affluent class of the society and there is no check on heinous deeds of the ruling class affliction of a widespread torment becomes predestined according to the rule of nature and in light of a great Quranic fact told in the verse referred below.

“And when We decide to destroy a town (population), We command its affluent (to obey Allah and be righteous), but they defiantly disobey therein; so the word (of severe torment) comes into effect upon it, and We destroy it with complete destruction.”(Al-Isra: 16)
