Muslims are blamed to be an extremist community, nurturing terrorism under its wings to harm the interests of the West. Though we do not approve recent incident of rocket propelling which targeted the American ambassador and three other members of their diplomatic staff in Libya and violent demonstrations in Egypt and some other Muslim countries.
In spite of all the repugnance of such acts there are serious motives behind them. Neglecting the fact how heart breaking and inciting it would be, extremely shocking matter about Islam in film stories, novels, sacrilegious cartoons in newspapers and social websites and vexatious remarks in talk shows have become a common thing in the West. This is not but intellectual terror attacks through media in a loose, irresponsible and provocative way in the name of freedom of expression.
Islam as a religion and Muhammad, be peace and blessings upon him, the last Prophet of Allah is victim of this type of terrorism for quite a long time. The feelings of the Muslims, already angry because of mischievous and aggressive policies of the Western governments, particularly of the Americans, are fueled by the Western media every now and then. After 9/11 this highly provocative practice has increased.
Tragic incident of 9/11 making around 3000 people were targets of the blasts in the Twin Towers of New York. Muslim communities as an Ummah had no role in it and almost all the governments of Muslim countries condemned that extreme step of only some misguided and frustrated young men, but the war-monger Americans waged the wars against entire Muslim Ummah. Since then millions of the Muslims have been made quarry of the Bush and Obama wars not only in Iraq and Afghanistan, but in Yemen, Pakistan and many other parts of the Muslim world. American drone attacks, making dozens of the innocent common people in FATA (Pakistan) target is almost every day evil practice. A large number of the practicing young men with their religious appearance are picked by the agencies of the slavish nature Muslim rulers in Pakistan and some other countries and handed over to the Americans for never getting traced.
Still we are of the opinion that the Muslims should not get outrageous and deal the irritating situation created by the Western media with patience and wisdom. Munir Ahmed Khalili

Al-Azhar Call
The newly reinstated Senior Scholars Authority of Egypt's Al-Azhar University has underlined the importance of a wise response to repeated attacks on Islam, its symbols and holy sites, giving the examples of desecrating and burning the Quran, attacking and demolishing mosques and finally insulting the Prophet Mohamed.
The authority, headed by Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayeb, said that reactions should clarify Islamic facts and avoid blaming the innocent for the deeds of the guilty.
In a statement published Wednesday, the authority emphasised the importance that Muslims rationalise, be aware of and use an objective outlook when dealing with such problems, saying that falsifying the image of Islam and its figures is an old practice that came to prominence alongside the birth of Islam.
The Senior Scholars Authority called on Islamic academic institutions to study the phenomenon of aggression against Islam in order to determine its sources and the factors affecting it, and also the intellectual methods best used to quell such antagonism.
The authority recommended increasing efforts to reveal the truth about Islam through communicating with expat communities and Islamic centres in the West, especially those where attacks emanate from. It said it would form an initiative to this effect soon.
A film deemed offensive to the Prophet Mohamed sparked protests in Egypt and Libya Tuesday that left the US ambassador to Libya dead and saw the US flag burnt in front of the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
The offending film was directed by Israeli-American film maker Sam Bacile who went into hiding following Tuesday's events.
